Headed up to the Upper Delaware Friday night with Joey S and Little Man Andrew D and his Dad. We hooked several fish at Hale Eddy Bridge Friday evening. Andrew picked up a solid Brown Trout on one of his favorite Streamers. Joey and I were able to dig up a bunch of fish on Nymphs and Midges.
Saturday we started out at Balls Eddy, fishing was slow in the early morning but picked up after the fog burned off. We caught a good number of fish all day. We finished up the afternoon around the 191 Bridge, fishing was steady Joey landed a nice Brown in the 18″ range.
Sunday Morning we headed down to the Shehawken Boat Launch. We picked up a few small fish right at first light. There is a big draw of Bait fishermen at this launch. It’s hard to watch when they are breaking necks, but there are a few guys that I see letting them go. We fished all the way down to the Junction pool area, long walk but well worth the effort. We caught at least a dozen fish with a few picture fish mixed in. Little Man Andrew landed a great Bow, about 19″ and I picked up a nice Tiger Trout.
Can’t wait to hit it again!
