1-30-16 State College Trip

Joe S, Joe P and I headed West! Our weekend trip out to State Collage area was epic! We landed close to 80 fish with 62 of them coming on Sunday when we fished Penn's Creek. We fished the Little J Saturday morning, then jumped up to Spruce Creek. They both fished well and produced a couple picture fish. The weather was perfect, some sun and cloud mix both days. The water conditions got better by the hour as the warmer temps added some run off to the mix. Hoping to get back…Read more

Headed over to a favorite limestoner this morning to guide Tony T. We got on water around 10:30 and we fished until about 4pm. The conditions were great! Water temps in high 40s to 50*, water was a bit mineraly in color and the water was up a bit from the normal flow.  Tony is very proficient with his tackle and was able to get the flies down, and in the zone, even with some pretty strong wind gusts. He finished the day with 14 fish to the net, and lost another 8 or so. It…Read more

12-21-15 to 1-3-16 Holiday Fishing

I was off work for a total off 11 days, over the that time I had the chance to fish with a few of my closes fishing buddies. We chased clear water the first week, that took us all the way out to the Yellow Breeches in Carlisle. We had a great day out there, we all had at least a dozen fish landed.  The second week we spent fishing within a half hour of home. We fished the Little Lehigh, Cedar Creek, Bushkill Creek in Easton, the Musky and South branch of the Raritan.…Read more

12-20-15 Tulpehocken Creek

Guided Eddy C. this morning, out on the Tully. Conditions where decent, the river was running at 156 cfs and 45*, clear and a little color in the channels. Eddy picked up the concept of indicator fishing pretty quickly and managed to land a few nice bows. Dark midges seemed to be the bug of choice! Looking forward to our next trip out Eddy, Thanks!Read more

Joe S, Joe P, Andrew D. and I went looking for a Bubba fish today. We all landed our share of the newbies that Shannon's stocked, but couldn't get a confirmed hookup on a Bubba fish. Little man scored on not one but two different goldy's. We fought 20 mile an hour wind with snow squalls off and on all day, gotta love winter fishin!      Read more

11-28-15 Musconetcong River

Joe S. and I met Joe P. on the Musky at the Point Mt. stretch this morning. Fishing was tough, Water is low and clear. Quite a few guys still fishing every hole. As soon as we would get a spot, we would rest it and then stay back as we fished it. Action would pick up after ten or fifteen minutes. Talked to a few centerpin fishermen who I see in there almost every time I'm there. They have been catching quite a few fish, mostly on beads and plastic baits. We need some rain soon, that would help spread a few…Read more
